Welcome to Welfare Trackers

Tracking the impact of Welfare Reform in Glasgow

The project was a collaboration between 3 prominent voluntary sector organisations, The Poverty AllianceGCVS and Scottish Drugs Forum and represented a partnership approach to researching and mitigating against the impacts of welfare reform & benefit changes. It ran between April 2014 and October 2015

The project was developed as a partnership in recognition of the expertise, specialisms and networks that each organisation could provide or access thereby increasing the reach and effectiveness of the project.

We used three methods to engage with individuals, organisations and agencies including:

·         Awareness Raising Workshops

·         City-wide Network Events

·         Research and Tracking

The project produced a report, No Light at the End of the Tunnel and five Briefing sheets

We will continue to update this site with information such as reports and briefings, case studies and the latest news on welfare reform and its impact.

We are also keen to hear your ideas and thoughts on welfare reform so that we can share them. We are collecting practical ideas about how services across Glasgow are responding to welfare reform. This will be a mixture of big and small ideas – some anonymous, others not (you choose).
